My Japan vacation January 2016 videos

My Japan vacation January 2016 part5

My brother and I had an argument at Kyoto.
Thus, we decided to split up on the last day and meet back at the hotel at night.

I was on an adventure on my own again.
I wanted to have a taste of the famous Ice-dog in Osaka. Which is located in a place call American village. See the Statue Of Liberty on the top of that building. (she's French actually^_^)
I got lost a few times finding this place, because I'm a dinosaurs and don't know how to use a smartphone. by the time I found the store selling Ice-dogs, they were not open yet.
So I came back in the afternoon.

It's an awesome experience.
Soft ice-cream on a deep fried hot dog bun, got to at least try it once.

 A souvenir I picked up.

This is operating area of the subway train.
The Osaka Umeda subway station is a huge underground maze, very easy to get lost.

In the end, I had a wonderful time in Osaka, Japan.
But, next time I travel, I would probably prefer to travel solo as the way I always do.

A day after. We took an early train to Kyoto. Expecting to see snow, and we did.
Snow started falling on our way to Kyoto, the train tracks began to turn white as we get near to our destination, and when we reach Kyoto Station, it was all white outside. I haven't saw snow since I was a child, that's about over 25 years from now.

Kyoto was a fantastic place to visit. This is always how I imagine Japan in may dreams, and the snow is like adding the cherry on the top of a delicious cake.
However, it's over touristy for my taste. Crowds started pouring in tourist areas before noon time.

Next morning, we decided to visit a nearby city Nara.
This is the famous Buddha's temple with tons of wild deers running around. We were early, their still asleep.
However, we saw tons of deers on our way out. They're smart, they'd chase people with deer food in their hands. Nope, not me. I only have leather gloves in my hand.
You're suppose to squeeze through this hole in the pillar.
A small group of Koreans actually managed to squeeze through it one by one.
This reminds me of that Tiger in Madagascar 3.
No way, I ain't doing it. (See the horror on my face?)

Then it's time for some expensive crab sashimi.
It tasted like...... raw crab?
Maybe I'm just not a seafood person.

This place is not as crowded in the afternoon on weekdays.
But still full of tourists.

Later that day we visited Osaka Castle.
This castle is very beautiful, it's a must see sight, when visiting Osaka.
Although the park was huge, had to walk a long way from the subway stations located on the corners of the park.

This tablet cost me about $190.00USD. tax free.
I had to buy one to bring home, and my old tablet can finally retire.

The next day, we visited a few toy stores and I had my photo taken standing next to Kinnikuman.

And finally, my first Okonomiyaki in Osaka.
The Attendant will cook it for you on a hot pan in the middle of the table.
 It's ready! Dig in!
It tasted okay... not as good as I expected. Perhaps we should of order noodles instead.

Then we went out for Ramen that evening. It was very crowded, had to wait in line. But the Ramen was awesome.
However, the drink was a bit odd. The cola came with over filled ice cubes and the drink was filled to two third of the glass. Looks very refreshing, but I have no idea how to drink it.
Finished my Ramen. It was wonderful.
I manage to take out a few ice cubes with my fingers, so I can drink the cola.
No, I don't normally put my fingers into my drinks, unless there's a bug in it or something...

We arrived at Osaka KIX airport around 4 o'clock in the afternoon. (Jan 17, Sunday. with my brother.)
After settling in the hotel, we went out for a ride in the Osaka subway. Took the train to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori Area.
Which was crowded with tourists from all around the world. Mostly Chinese actually, it's hard to not run into people speaking Mandarin in any tourist areas in Osaka.

Blue lights on the trees were Christmas special decorations, it was the last night for the event.
A beautiful view, but I wasn't happy at all, because I was in a bad mood. It was raining and cold, I didn't bring my umbrella, and I was tired from hours of traveling, and my brother wasn't a good traveling companion.
